File this under somewhat random, but stay with me. I’ve been trying out Mood-lites the last couple of weeks. These colored light bulbs are designed to enhance your mood. Initially launched as porch lights, Mood-lites founder Kathryn Goetzke was intrigued with tweaking a commonly used product in a different way. These bulbs can be used to help encourage a mood. Or even in an artistic or festive way. They also make for great night lights at the mellow 25 watt power.
In honor of the holidays, Mood-lites sent me red Mood Passion and green Mood Renewal. I must admit, I am enjoying both for a lighting change of pace. I put the red Passion bulb in my bedroom (duh) even though I am decidedly single. I actually enjoyed the warm and calming glow before I went to sleep. You can also use these in the kitchen and dining room to give a romantic glow. I’ve been using Renewal at my desk. It doesn’t provide enough light to read by, but I love it for a serene glow that conjures freshness. It is also said to be welcoming and rejuvenating.
