All sorts of good things are coming out from Moroccanoil these days. Remember this post featuring new goodies for fine hair? I remember first hearing the buzz that they were also launching body care items and I knew instantly it would be a hit. Body care and Argan oil have always been a match made in heaven. And Moroccanoil’s formulations are spot on in texture, scent and absorption.
I’ve been trying out two new items from Moroccanoil: Dry Body Oil and Pure Argan Oil. I was in serious need of something to battle my dry winter skin. And you know how I love a good body oil. And the nimble Pure Argan Oil has emerged as one of my favorite winter skin multi-taskers.
First up, Moroccanoil Dry Body Oil is a blend of argan, olive and avocado oils. I’ve found the best results come if you apply directly out of the shower. I pat dry skin and seal in moisture with this spray. Even though it is an oil, my skin never gets greasy and the weightless formula absorbs quickly. Essential fatty acids work to improve skin texture and tone, soothing dry areas. My redness prone skin does look more even, albeit a lovely ghostly white pale. The Dry Body Oil has Moroccanoil’s signature scent. If you haven’t experienced it, imagine a very light nutty vanilla with a hint of floral. Swoon.
Moroccanoil Pure Argan Oil is designed for super-charged moisture that can be used virtually everywhere: nails, hair, face and body. I loved using this after my recent peel. And my cuticles soak up the non-greasy nourishment. All these benefits are thanks to a super dose of Vitamin E and its conditioning benefits. Mix this with hand cream, body lotion and apply to ends of your hair to boost moisture. And don’t fear any fragrance irritation – this one is unscented.
Other Moroccanoil body items I have my eye on: Shimmering Body Oil, Body Soufflé, Body Buff and, of course, the candle.
