Brand Spotlight: M. Steves on Belle Belle Beauty

While I love sharing new favorites from widely known brands, it is just as fun sharing products from indie lines that showcase hard work, unique perspectives and fabulous formulas. M. Steves came on my radar when I heard about the verve and drive of Mally Steves Chakola. She has developed a line of natural anti-aging and regenerating products that use pure, cold-pressed Chilean Rose Hip Seed Oil (RHSO).

Mally discovered the possibilities of RHSO when she applied to an old keloid scar – I know personally how stubborn these can be. Within two weeks, the scar was less raised and discolored. Naturally, this ingredient would have similar properties against aging skin, redness and dull skin. How you ask? RHSO has a mix of unsaturated fatty acids, potent antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories.

I’ve tried two products: M. Steves RHSO Reviving Exfoliator Triple Action Skin Resurfacer and Power-Packed Ultra-Nourishing Boost Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Skin Booster. Both are elegant, gentle and results-oriented. First up, the Resurfacer offers a scrub, glycolic peel, enzymatic peel and Dead Sea mud mask. Despite all this action, my redness-prone skin remains un-irritated, likely thanks to the RHSO. Dead skin cells are whisked away and my skin is left baby soft.

Next up is the M. Steves RHSO Power-Packed Ultra-Nourishing Boost Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil Skin Booster, a member of the all too popular dry facial oils flooding the market lately. This version packs a nourishment punch and absorbs quickly. The only downside is the slightly “earthy” scent. But that could be thanks to omega 3, 6, and 9 (linolenic, linoleic, oleic acids) which work deeply moisturize and protect from free radical and environmental damage. I’ve actually preferred to use this on scars and age spots just like M. Steves did when she discovered the ingredient. My keloid on my foot from surgery is gradually looking better and I have high hopes!
