Glossier Body Hero Duo

Glossier Body Hero Duo on Belle Belle Beauty

One of my favorite bloggers, Grace, posted about Glossier Body Hero Duo a couple weeks back and it prompted a long overdue shopping spree at Glossier for me. Not only did I pick up the body duo, but also some fan favorites that I can’t wait to share with you next week. But first up, the products that started it all – Daily Oil Wash and Daily Perfecting Cream.

I am all about a natural and glow-y look and that goes for the body as well. I haven’t gotten much sun this summer (taking a healthier approach to sun care), so a little glow is much needed. The body wash and cream are both really rich and hydrating which my body needs despite the humidity.

Daily Oil Wash is truly an oil so don’t expect a heavy lather, but rather froth. It washes skin without striping thanks to the seven oils in its formula. And leaves skin so soft.

Daily Body Cream melts into skin without leaving it sticky or feeling heavy. Light-reflecting particles disguise flaws while adding sheen.

The scent is the star here, transporting me back to childhood summer days at the beach. Orange Blossom Neroli Blend has a faint Coppertone hint that smells innocently fresh. The formula is paraben free, cruelty free and vegan.

ZO Skin Health and Gabriel Horn

ZO Skin Health on Belle Belle Beauty

As long as I have lived in Tulsa (over six years now!), I have been seeing Gabe for all my skin care needs. Several years ago, he struck out on his own in the most adorable building in mid-town and it is always a treat to visit after a long day at work.

As I have approached my late-thirties, Gabe has worked with me to adjust skin care and heal my main skin beefs. We used many peels to fade sun damage from my twenties quite successfully. But now that I have a more client-facing role at work, I can’t use peels due to the downtime required. These days I rely on his microderm and amazing products from ZO Skin Health. In addition to highly recommending Gabe to local readers (he does fabulous eyebrows), I also want everyone to know what a great brand ZO is. Here are some of my favorites from the line up:

  • Gentle Cleanser: this cleanser removes makeup but is still gentle and leaves skin refreshed, but not dry. I also love that it is slightly foaming.
  • Exfoliating Polish: this is probably my favorite products of the line up. It exfoliates using magnesium crystals and provides a healthy glow while removing dead skin cells.
  • Complexion Renewal Pad: these pads are perfect for on-the-go or summer travels. They exfoliate while calming skin – ideal for jet-lagged skin.
  • Smart Tone Broad-Spectrum SPF 50: this is one of my favorite sun screens. It adjusts to your skin tone while reducing redness. And the protection is physical sunscreen, gentler on sensitive skin.

ARM&HAMMER Invisible Spray Powders for Foot and Body

ARM&HAMMER Invisible Spray Powders for Foot and Body on Belle Belle Beauty

We had a huge bike race here in Tulsa this weekend which is always a highlight at the start of the summer. Unfortunately for the bikers, it was H-O-T! And not the most comfortable as a spectator either. But it was the perfect excuse to try out my new New ARM&HAMMER Invisible Spray Powders for Foot and Body. Not only can sweat make us feel not so fresh, but it can also be stinky. But this duo kept me dry, comfortable and free of any white stains.

The Body Spray has a cool, unisex fragrance and keeps my underarms, bra-line and legs sweat free. I love the refreshing effect. I’ve been using the foot spray before work and applied it before I put on my sneakers this weekend. During the summer, my feet sweat in my work heels (and always in sneakers) and the Sweat Activated Fresh Guard® Technology is the only thing that keeps them dry and odor-free all day long.

Not the sexiest part of my beauty routine but certainly one of the most valuable.

Kérastase Spécifique Bain Vital Dermo‑Calm

Kérastase Spécifique Bain Vital Dermo‑Calm on Belle Belle Beauty

It isn’t cute, but unfortunately it is common. I have dry and sometimes flaky scalp and it sucks. But thanks to my dermatologist, I got a diagnosis and medicated shampoo to treat it when it flares up. It works but, man, it smells gross. Enter Kérastase Spécifique Bain Vital Dermo‑Calm which is my new favorite way to treat flakiness.

I have been using it since last summer. I recently rotated in another shampoo and noticed the dryness creep back in, so I am once again loyal to Dermo-Calm. The shampoo is silicone free and doesn’t weigh down strands. It is packed with anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory ingredients to calm skin. Piroctone works to soothe itching. Lastly, menthol calms but without the medicinal fragrance. For those who share my scalp problems or just want a refreshing and weightless shampoo (that is color-safe), check out this gem!

Clarisonic In The Glow Set

Clarisonic In The Glow Set on Belle Belle Beauty

It seems that everything is about the glow lately. And I have to admit, it is harder to come by for me. My skin tends to irritate and beam redness more than glow. But I will not end the fight. While nothing has really blown me away in a while, the return of my Clarisonic to my routine has impressed me. And as a refresh, I added their new brush set to get it back in working order.

These brush heads are some of the most popular in Clarisonic’s range. Radiance Brush Head is built with fine and soft bristles that fight dullness and are gentle on skin – helpful for skin like mine prone to redness. The Revitalizing Cleanse Brush Head also has fine bristles but works against signs of aging. The highlight of the set it is cleanser – it is foaming, my favorite. But still creamy.

Have a mom who loves her Clarisonic? Great last minute Mother’s Day idea! Available at Sephora.
