Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizers

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizers on Belle Belle Beauty

Admittedly, I meant to get this post up for Earth Day, but the month of April just slipped right by! Keep in mind the Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizers‘ nod to a healthy Earth. Caudalie embraces the “1% For the Planet”movement; 1% of Caudalie’s word wide turnover goes toward ecological associations.

These pink shaded tubes cover moisturizing needs for those with oilier skin or those (like me) who need a rich and restorative formula. Each uses at least 92% natural ingredients including organic grape water, which soothes and hydrates. Vinolevure – a patented blend – helps reinforce immune defense.

  • The collection includes:
Moisturizing Sorbet – A lightweight gel-cream with a water-like consistency that strengthens, moisturizes and soothes skin
  • Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid – Offers a blotting effect, reducing excess sebum and preventing its production while restoring skin’s moisture level
  • Moisture Recovery Cream – A smooth, comforting every day facial cream
  • Intense Moisture Rescue Cream – A rich, restorative facial cream, perfect for use at night

These are available at Sephora and Caudalie for $39.

Running Late!

Makeup Routine When You Are Running Late on Belle Belle Beauty

Thanks to an infatuation with and current re-watching of the 1983 WWII mini-series, Winds of War, I stayed up WAY too late last night. As a result, I slept right through all the severe weather last night. Tulsa was spared but those affected in Oklahoma City and elsewhere are in my prayers. I also woke up at 8AM – oops.

Since I knew I only had about 15 minutes to throw myself together, my makeup routine was seriously pared down. First, I’ve been using the Caudalie Gradual Self-Tanning Cream – the best self tanner for the face I’ve found to date. So that natural glow allowed for a little less makeup.

I alternate between Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint and bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream but this AM I reached for the bareMinerals in Natural. I am completely obsessed with the RMS goodies I found this past weekend in New York. I apply RMS UnCoverup in 22 just below my eyes, on any blemishes and around my nose. RMS Living Luminizer goes on my cheekbones and brow bones (and, frankly, anywhere else I am feeling it – this stuff adds a perfect natural glow). The pale golden shade also nourishes skin with ingredients like coconut oil and rosemary extract. I know I keep mentioning it, but the Tata Harper Voluminous Cheek and Lip Stain in Very Vivacious is ideal on the apples of the cheeks.

The last step was a surprise obsession. A friend gifted to me the Kevin Aucoin The Mascara Volume Mascara a couple weeks ago. I usually don’t have any luck with the tubular mascara – just a personal preference – so I was hesitant. But I have come to be totally impressed with the lack of fall out, clump-free separated lashes and long-lasting, inky finish.

Boom, I was out of the door and at my desk almost on time.

Upgrading My Face Washing Game

Upgrading My Face Washing Game on Belle Belle Beauty

By now, I assume my fellow beauty-addicts have changed their skin care routine to accommodate the climbing temps. But if you have not (or are just looking for a major upgrade in your cleansing game), check out this new set available at Sephora from Caudalie and Clarisonic.

Cream cleansers start to feel heavy this time of year. And while I love oils, I often need that second step after removing makeup to get a fresh and clean feeling. This set offers a balanced approach that doesn’t leave skin irritated or dry, but still super clean. Plus, the product combo brightens – something so crucial with the lighter makeup routine I’ve been embracing.

I had tried many of Caudalie’s products but the Instant Foaming Cleanser was new to me. It is gentle and straightforward. Plus, it offers that instant gratification to those of us who love the foam. The serum and sorbet both soften and hydrate skin and you cannot beat the cult-favorite Beauty Elixir.

Regular readers know I love the Clarisonic – if you don’t, you can read more thoughts here. But one new item I have been adoring are the new luxe brush heads. Since my skin is prone to redness, this fluffy and gentle option keeps my skin calm but still super clean. And it helps hydrate! Sold.

Set includes:

  • Clarisonic Mia 3
  • USB-Enabled Charger
  • Sensitive Brush Head
  • Caudalie Beauty Elixir
  • Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser
  • Caudalie Vinosource Crème Sorbet
  • Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum

Caudalie Gradual Self-Tanner For The Face

Caudalie Gradual Self-Tanner For The Face on Belle Belle Beauty

I had the most low-key, sleep-filled weekend and it was glorious. I was actually happy to turn the calendar page, put the holidays behind us and brave 2015. Which I know has so much good in store. It just called for a bit of rest, relaxation and reading. Speaking of reading, I just set a goal of 50 books in 2015. I have already finished two (fine I cheated a little because I started both in December). If you are on Goodreads, pop over and check out my reading list here.

In between my bouts of cooking warm soups, reading and naps, I was reevaluating my skin care routine. I have been sensing a look of sallowness in my complexion, which is odd because I tend toward redness. This prompted me to break out my Caudalie Gradual Self-Tanner For The Face.

I absolutely adore the radiance that sets in after about 12 hours. It made a world of difference. While this is gradual, take care. I did overdo it slightly. But that “little to bronze” glow abated by this morning. The formula also delivers antioxidants – something the Caudalie line is known for, adding in a youthfulness. There is negligible scent, no stickiness and the effect is gradual enough that you don’t have to worry about your normal makeup routine having to be altered.

I apply a thin layer. Proceed with moisturizer. Don’t forget to wash your hands. I think a little natural glow is the perfect way to welcome the first full week of 2015. Available at us.caudalie.com or your Caudalie boutique.

The Best Eye Creams

The Best Eye Creams on Belle Belle Beauty

I’ve been battling some serious fine lines around my eye area. They aren’t super pronounced, but I know now is my chance to stave off any major wrinkles. Welcome to your mid-thirties, Belle Belle! So I decided it was time to really dive into the world of eye cream. I’ve selected my favorites for particular concerns whether you have fine lines like me, battle puffiness or get those dreaded dark circles. Let me know if you have any other superstar favorites I missed in the comments below!

Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System – Best Tool

I mention the Opal first because I use this tool with all the creams and serums tested below. I adore Clarisonic so no surprise that their tool for the eye area was equally impressive. The micro-massage (which is super-gentle) drives active ingredients into skin. Amplifying infusion with the vibration equals quick results. The Opal runs on a one minute cycle and I have to say it is actually fun to use. The rubbery applicator tip is gentle and keeps the amount of product to a reasonable level – something I found difficult when using just your finger. My only beef? I wish there was a beep when I needed to switch to the other eye. So I just do a full rotation (one minute) on each eye.

blisslabs active 99.0 Multi-Action Eye Cream – Best Newcomer

I adore this new eye cream from bliss. Part of their active 99.0 line, this treatment is professional-grade without being irritating. It manages to fight all the concerns mentioned above. And nourishes my dry and thin skin. It is a one-stop shop for those who want to address a range of concerns.

Caudalíe ‘Polyphenol C15’ Anti-Wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream – Best Multi-Tasker

Major kudos for releasing something specifically for women (and I guess men!) in their 30s. This workhorse fights free radicals around eyes and lips and soothes sensitive areas where signs of aging first appear. The consistency is very light, making it perfect for those with oilier or combination skin. It is my lazy girl answer for nights you just can’t don’t have the energy.

Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford Advanced Formula Lifting Eye Crème – Best Value

I fell hard for Cindy Crawford’s skin Meaningful Beauty back here and the price point takes the sting out of a normally very expensive product. She developed her line with a dermatologist and the active ingredients really work to tighten and lift. The small tube is perfect to throw in a travel bag or purse. And it works beautifully to refresh under eyes at the end of a long day before cocktail hour.

SkinCeuticals Eye Balm – Best For Fine Lines

SkinCeuticals is always my pick for people who want powerful formulas. Usually the line is a little irritating on me, but this balm from SkinCeuticals was surprisingly gentle and nourishing. I loved the anti-inflammatory nature and soothing chamomile that fought my redness like a champ. I felt refreshed and smooth a full day when using this balm.

StriVectin-AR Advanced Retinol Eye Treatment – Best For Puffiness

I used to think StriVectin was a gimmicky brand, but after trying so many of their products, I am seriously obsessed with their ability to fight a wide variety of skin concerns. I don’t usually have puffiness, but I went though a phase of terrible allergies recently and this was the only eye treatment that got those puffs to calm down. My eyes were immediately “deflated” for lack of a better word. And that’s not all. The formula contains retinol – a workhorse against lines and hyper-pigmentation. And it isn’t irritating.

AHAVA Dead Sea Osmoter Eye Concentrate Youth & Cellular Energizing Serum – Best Nourishing Eye Cream

When I feel like I need to baby my under eye area, this is what I reach for. The silky serum smooths skin and plumps any dehydrated areas. And when I say “silky” I mean literally. The serum contains Persian Silk and is perfect after a sleepless night or one too many cocktails. It just feels sooo good to use.

Murad Instant Radiance Eye Cream – Best For Dark Circles

Murad’s standout focuses on radiance by boosting collagen production. The tangerine butter brightens the eye area and leaves youthful baby-soft skin. And a bonus point – if you like using eye cream on lids like I do – this one is gentle enough to be used over the entire eye area.

Golden Glow Body Makeup on FOX23’s Tulsa Live

Golden Glow Body Makeup on Belle Belle Beauty

By now, we all know how damaging the sun’s rays can be. But there is something about summertime that makes me crave a golden glow. Plus, skin-kissed skin disguises flaws. You can beat a little body makeup on the legs if you are wearing a cocktail dress. Or for that matter a bikini. Or shorts! Obviously, I am hooked on this particular beauty product. I am on FOX23’s Tulsa Live (formally Great Day Green Country) this AM sharing my favorites.

Victoria’s Secret Bronze All-Over Bronzing Stick not only had a great price point but is perfect for travel. The stick easily glides on with a true bronze shade. The gel-based formula is easy to apply and I use my hands to blend into skin ($15).

Zen-Tan Flawless Logic Shimmer is a more luxe version of a stick that applies like a cream but dries like a powder. I also blend this with my hands and it is exceptional at covering age spots and veins. This stick has slightly more shimmer and a deeper shade but still looks natural. The thin shape also makes it great for disguising tan lines ($32).

Caudalie Divine Legs Tinted Body Lotion probably tops as my favorite because of the scent and ease of application. Plus it is really hydrating – ideal for my drier skin – thanks to Grape Oil. Copper and golden pearlizers leave a radiant finish. The universal shade works on even the fairest of skin.($38)

Nuxe Multi-Usage Dry Oil is a true French pharmacy classic. While there is a version without shimmer, I prefer the slightly tinted version. The effect is very subtle making it perfect even for the winter months. A blend of six different essential oils including Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut, and Macadamia nourish and hydrate skin ($39).

Hard Candy Glow All The Way is my pick for a budget performer. The finish has a pink luminosity that works well on the body and face. The thick and rich lotion is hydrating but still can be mixed with foundation for a summer glow. The formula is cruelty-free ($8).
