Weleda Wild Rose Smoothing Facial Lotion

For my first foray into the Weleda line of skin care, the First Lines collection seemed perfect for my early thirties complexion.  The lotion is designed to soften fine lines and revitalize the skin. I appreciate the organic ingredients, especially the antioxidants, but was a little worried jojoba seed oil – my skin doesn’t always play nice. I was just very slightly irritated with the strong fragrance and oil, but my real compliant was the “quickly absorbing” quality made my face feel tight.  The scent was far from delicate and if you are not crazy about roses, stay away.

Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer

I first was introduced to the Face Finishing Moisturizer when I received a sample with purchase.  That is pretty much all it took to get my hooked.  While I like Creme de La Mer, it can be a bit heavy during the summer or in the mornings.  This moisturizer has a consistency more like a lotion, but still  provides all the hydration that a cream would. I love that it is paraben-free and loaded with antioxidants.  The moisturizer contains Vitamin C, fulfilling part of a new year’s skin care resolution.  Even though it is loaded with anti-oxidents and anti-aging ingredients, it does not smell or act medicinal in the least bit.  It dries matte but is still luminizing, so no wonder photographers like to work with it.  It is worth the splurge and I think it will be outstanding during the summer months.

Garnier Refreshing Gel Cream

So, I always say “better late than never” – but finding the ideal summer product goodie in September is not the best timing.  I am a fan of most Garnier products.  Even my dermatologist recommends the line as a cheaper alternative than the product lines he sells in his office.  Both the Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew The Brusher Gel Cleanser and Fructis Nutrient Spray Triple Nutrition have a spot in my routine.  Thus, I was pretty excited to try the Refreshing Gel Cream.  Even in early fall, the gel was not moisturizing enough for my relatively normal skin.  I would venture to say this might work really well for those of you with oily skin.  But I would snap this up in a second on my way to the beach for the weekend.  After a hot day in the sun, the refreshing gel would hit the spot.  Well, at least I got the info out there for those of you headed for a winter resort destination!
