Summer Goals on Belle Belle Beauty

I’m feeling reflective lately. It could be blamed on the power of suggestion based on my horoscope (total Zodiac junkie). Or maybe it is a fairly big birthday in a couple weeks (starts with a 3, ends with a 5). Either way, I am pondering goals for the next week, months and years. Inspired by this goal list over on Design Love Fest (via Bleubird Blog), I decided to share mine today:

Eating / Baked potatoes, seafood, blueberries and gnocchi.
Drinking / Fresh grapefruit juice, water and white wine.
Practicing / Reflection, patience, understanding and self-respect.
Mastering / Live television appearances.
Learning / Finally learning how to do my own blowout.
Trying / To move beyond an unhealthy relationship.
Playing / Cards Against Humanity, Mexican Train Dominos and dancing like a fool to 90s music.
Finishing / My monthly column, paperwork for a new venture this fall and see next topic.
Reading / I really want to start Le Temps Viendra but trying to make it through All the Light We Cannot See (a lovely WWII story but just a little hard to get into at the start).
Remembering / To perform my evening skin care routine and get plenty of sleep (such a night owl).
Wearing / Joie silk shorts, Soludos Espadrilles, and T by Alexander Wang Classic Tanks.
Cooking / Oatmeal and baked potatoes (so random but so good and easy!).
Working / On a couple different projects and so easily distracted – working on focus.
Traveling / Finally, a little more after a dry spell – Napa in less than two weeks.
Wanting / To get a solid exercise routine in place.

If you are inspired, share yours below! And a couple finds from around the web here:

I don’t really consider myself a graphic artist but this Kerning game was so addictive – beware type nerds everywhere!

Excited to learn Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are adding perfume oil to their collection.

February Love

February Love on Belle Belle Beauty

February hasn’t been my favorite month in past years. It is cold and not terribly festive. And I am not sure I love Valentine’s Day, especially being single. But I am a little more optimistic this year. I’m one of those crazy people who loves the snow and Tulsa is getting a wallop this week. It also means the last couple weeks of my beloved winter fashions.

Nutrisystem Week 35

Nutrisystem Week 35 // Belle Belle Beauty

This week, I neither lost nor gained weight for a total weight loss of 37.4 pounds. I’m beating myself up a little bit as I had hoped to hit my final goal of 45 pounds by the time I left for my grand beach vacation. But then I remembered my first goal when starting Nutrisystem was to lose 30 pounds and I have certainly blown past that. I also am the same weight I was 10 years ago, which is by definition… healthy. While I am not giving up the good fight to hit the 45 mark, I am not going to beat myself up either. Oh yeah, PS – I just put on my jeans from high school and they FIT!

I am so grateful I get to hit the surf confidently in a bikini (mostly which have become too big might I add!). I also have resolved to keep up my workouts while on the island. How can you even resist a great long walk on the beach with a friend. Exercise clothes and Nutrisystem bars are packed. Along with a healthy appetite for island fair like fresh grilled fish and fruit.
