Keeping Summer Feet Beautiful on FOX23’s Great Day Green Country

Keeping Summer Feet Beautiful on FOX23's Great Day Green Country // Belle Belle Beauty

Feet aren’t the most glamorous subject but let’s be honest… during this flip flop season we need to keep our tootsies look fabulous too. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite ways to keep my feet in order over the warmer months including the hottest nail shade of the season. If you are in the Tulsa area, tune into FOX 23’s Great Day Green Country this morning. I’ll be chatting all my favorites with the lovely Lacey Lett!

Julep Warming Foot Scrub – Even in the summer, this warming scrub tends to do the best job at gently removing dead skin on my feet. The cucumber mint scented scrub warms up on contact, soothing sore feet. Containing real pumice, the formula works great at exfoliation. Also chili pepper oil stimulates circulation while vitamin E nourishes. $13

St. Ives Triple Butters Nourishing Vanilla Body Wash – St. Ives always does such a great job on body washes. The reason I love this new formula for the feet is its packed with nourishing ingredients like jojoba, shea, and cocoa butters, leaving skin soft. And we all know I am a sucker for calming vanilla scents. $4

Bio-Oil – This multi-use skincare oil is my favorite thing to moisturize cuticles. Not to mention it works great against scars. I have a nasty one on my left foot thanks to a broken bone a couple years ago. I like to apply at night and wear socks for super dose of hydration and soft feet. $12

Coppertone Wet ‘n Clear Continuous Spray Sunscreen, SPF 45 – This SPF is a current beach bag MVP. I love that you can apply on wet skin. The formula cuts through water while also being water resistant. Perfect for applying to feet that just dipped into the ocean. The tops of feet are so easy to burn and so often are missed when applying sun screen. $7

Essie in Marshmallow – White toes are the biggest hottest trend this summer (not to mention one of my favorite nail looks of the season). Check out my manicure here. I love the look on the toes – so clean and fresh – perfect to show off a tan! $8

Me & The Girls Lavandula Revive Food Scrub and Softening Creme

Yikes, my feet are looking rough. I know it is only January but pool time will be here before you know it. And I have some work to do on these tootsies. I was recently introduced to a natural skincare brand, Me & The Girls. Sharon Hackney, Me & The Girls Founder and CEO, has crafted a line up of organic, vegan products housed in a beautiful AND eco-friendly packaging. With an eye towards trying to stay non-toxic and chemical free, I had to give some of the bath products a whirl.

I’m a sucker for anything lavender so I immediate dove into the Lavandula Revive Foot Scrub during my latest bath time. It is an intense scrub that still manages to revitalize. The organic sugar cane exfoliates while the spearmint butter crème base gives a minty tingle. I’m not pool ready yet, but this is certainly helping.

Post bath, I slathered on Lavandula Revive Foot Softening Creme, loaded with Cupuacu Seed Butter and Avacado Oil. The calming lavender scent is balanced out with just a hint of mint. Slip on some comfy socks and let that stuff go to work. Not only did my feet feel better, but the moisturized skin was easier to care for and looked better.

Also, as a side note, I am also hooked on Limonum Sugar Body Scrub – these guys know how to do a good scrub! You can find Me & The Girls goodies at shop.meandthegirls.com.

Julep Nail Care and Giveaway

Beauty subscription services have come on strong over the past year. Birchbox has long been a favorite, having introduced me to brands I would never have heard about otherwise. And beauty samples in the mail is definitely a treat. So it was about time for me to try out another popular service: Julep.

Julep is all about nail care. These boxes are a great way to build a high quality polish collection. You can do a style quiz to determine which introductory box you receive. Or you can just select what jumps out. I was drawn to the Classic With A Twist Julep Maven Box, featuring two polishes (Kate and Rose) and The Best Pedi Cream Ever. I’ve been thrilled with the Pedi Cream – it might even live up to its name. The formula contains exfoliating alpha hydroxy acids. It is unusually hydrating with shea butter and coconut oil. I’ve been using it nightly and have noticed it makes quite a difference.

Kate  is a soft white pearl. It requires a steady hand and three coats, but I love the look of white nails. Rose is juicy watermelon red crème that goes on beautifully. The color is opaque with perfect coverage after two coats. Julep Nail Color is “4-free” and does not contain formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, or DBP. The brush is an exclusive design – flat with micro-frayed brush hairs that makes application a breeze.

When you join Julep Mavens, you receive an introductory box. Then on the 20th of each month, you get an email with the newest offering. You can do nothing if you want the box, or simply log on and opt out between the 20th and 24th to skip the month. Use the code “MAVENINTRO” to get your introductory box for just a penny. The polishes are also currently carried in Sephora.

I am so glad to be able to share an introductory box with one of my readers! The giveaway is open to US and Canadian residents. Enter using the widget below:
