bareMinerals Complexion Superstars

bareMinerals Complexion Superstars on Belle Belle Beauty

I was getting ready for a night out the other day with a friend (who happens to be a serious bareMinerals buff). I couldn’t help but think that I was testing out what would be the perfect stocking stuff for her. While basically everything she applied was bareMinerals, I knew that there were a couple complexion products that I loved and she needs (well, maybe not needs but I know would love!).

bareMinerals Complexion Superstars is a collection of five top-rated skin “finishers” plus one of their brushes. We are certainly in an era where powders aren’t what they once were. These actually can warm, illuminate and perfect skin. While you wouldn’t wear all six at once, the ability to combine to get different looks is positively brilliant (can you see my exuberance in this review?).

The pots are 0.07 ounces compared to full-sized at 0.3o ounces (which sells for $20). So the five pots come down to around $23 worth of product. The pots have the click and lock feature, so no need to worry about a mess when you take these on the go. The set sells for $39 which includes the aforementioned brush. All in all, giving the opportunity to try some new products and small backups of old favorites plus a perfect to-go brush lends me to conclude this set is well worth it.

Shades included:

  • Original Mineral Veil Finishing Powder (a relatively matte perfecting powder)
  • Illuminating Mineral Veil Finishing Powder (a finishing powder with significant shimmer – new to me)
  • Blush in Golden Gate (a shimmery rose apricot)
  • All-Over Face Color in Warmth (I use as a shimmery bronzer)
  • All-Over Face Color in Clear Radiance (a balanced shimmery rose – new to me)

I’m particularly smitten with Clear Radiance which I have been using as an illuminator on cheeks. It has a bronzy yet rosy finish and gives a festive holiday glow.
