Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation

Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation on Belle Belle Beauty

I’ve been curious about Perricone MD’s No Foundation Foundation for quite a while. I’m not sure if it was the quirky name or the idea that makeup could look that natural. Now that it has landed on my desk, I wish I had checked it out a lot sooner! Frankly, it turned out to be something totally different than I expected.

In my mind I envisioned a clear, “blurring” formula, but this is actually closer to a tinted moisturizer. It has a thin consistency with only a very slight sunscreen smell. It covers and corrects while somehow also achieving a natural look. The skin actually shines through and looks dewy but not shiny.

Mica works to diffuse light, correcting undertones and softening the appearance of wrinkles and pores. Lush moisture works to plump skin. And chemical free sunscreen at a hefty SPF 30 helps protect my skin. I’m vigilant about sunscreen these day as I work to even my skin tone and correct hyper pigmentation. Bonus points for the addition of DMAE and Alpha Lipoic Acid that can help improve appearance of skin over time.

I’ve been wearing the original shade which is a fabulous match for my light to medium skin. There is a fair shade now available. Hopefully, they will one day expand their shade range even further.

Available at Sephora, Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.
