PanOxyl 4% Acne Creamy Wash Daily Use

PanOxyl 4% Acne Creamy Wash Daily Use on Belle Belle Beauty

Pamela is probably my favorite friend/reader to dish beauty about. Not only does she have great skin and is always up to date on products, she lives in New York and gets to do all the latest treatments and fitness classes! I can’t wait to get back to New York soon to check out some of her favorites. But her latest recommendation to me not only is fabulous, but can be found around the corner at anyone’s drug store.

I picked up PanOxyl 4% Acne Creamy Wash Daily Use on her recommendation without much research. I was thrilled to see it is creamy – my favorite formula for face wash. I was a little fearful of the benzoyl peroxide as my skin is slightly sensitive and I don’t suffer from much acne. But the product indicated that this wash is designed for those with “slightly sensitive skin” and “mild to moderate acne like whiteheads or blackheads” ***raises hand***.

While 4% benzoyl peroxide is strong medicine, it is not as strong as their more powerful formula offering 10% benzoyl peroxide (the strongest available with a prescription). For those with more serious acne, ask your dermatologist if this might work for you.

I loved the foaming, cream formula and used it with these little sponges (thanks She’s In The Glow!). Between using this new favorite and PanOxyl, but pores are unclogged and skin is exfoliated and fresh. As a note, I use P50 in the morning and PanOxyl at night – probably too much to double up with both at the same time as it is already pretty aggressive to have these two in a routine. Despite the powerful ingredients, the addition of 3 humectants and 4 emollients in the formula leaves my skin soft and not dry. I don’t notice any tingling or a smell but some might find it slightly acidic.

Dove Shower Foam

Dove Shower Foam on Belle Belle Beauty

I’m like a kid in a candy store when I hit my local CVS. I seriously cannot walk out of there without at least one beauty impulse buy. It isn’t shocking that the newest from Dove caught my eye. Fortunately, I had some on the way from the brand, and have been trying Deep Moisture and Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla.

I am a huge fan of foam – shampoo, soap, face wash – I love it all. So a body was that was self-foaming was my cup of tea. For some reason, I feel cleaner when using a soap that has suds. So often though that can cause stripping skin and dryness. Not with Dove Shower Foam. This foam is nourishing and leaves skin soft. And the foam rinses quickly and easily.

The weightless formula delivers nourishing moisture with Dove’s unique technology. This mild cleansing leaves skin looking healthier. The Deep Moisture maximizes hydration while the Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla leaves a very subtle fragrance of vanilla, sandalwood and musk – some of my favorite scents. I can’t seem to pick a favorite, but rather am enjoying Deep Moisture in the AM and saving Shea Butter with Warm Vanilla for the days I shower in the evening.

Look for Dove Shower Foam at your local drugstore.

Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads

Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads on Belle Belle Beauty

I really try to be very low maintainance and am generally great with rolling with the punches. But every once in a while I try something that sets the bar really high and there is just no going back. That’s kind of how I feel about regular ole cotton pads now that I have experienced the Kleenex Cotton Soft Pads.

These pads are made of a micro-fine fabric making them ultra-soft. There is far less lint then any other ball or pad I have tried. And the unique texture leaves absolutely nothing behind. They are about twice the size of cotton rounds, but the shape of a curved rectangle. It is almost decadent how big they are, making them perfect for washing or removing nail polish. I use them for toner and the size is so large, I can take two passes with one pad.

If you want to up your cotton game, check out the Kleenex Soft Pads at www.kleenex.com/facialcleansing for $4.99 for an 85-pack.

Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

I’ve been complaining about it here on the regular, but I feel the need to say it again: my skin has been going nuts. I finally found a serum that has cleared up my skin within a week (keep an eye out for a review later this week or next). But I also think the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub has been playing its own role.

Bioré has always been a favorite for drugstore beauty – I adore their charcoal collection. So this immediately had my attention. The formula is powder-to-foam (perfect for travel) and works as a deep skin cleanser. The scrub activates with water and turns into a surprisingly luscious foam. It gives skin a solid clean without being harsh and exfoliating without over-scrubbing. Because it is a deeper cleaning, I try to limit use to 2-3 times per week.

Available at Target and Amazon.

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm on Belle Belle Beauty

I realize Carmex can be a little divisive. But I am more than happy to admit I am a total devotee. I love the classic tub, especially in the cold winter months. But for those who don’t care for the medicinal taste, Carmex’s newest launch could be a perfect solution as the winter months start drying out our pout. And this option is adorably trendy!

Carmex Moisture Plus Lip Balm has new package designs inspired by prints, textures and even Pantone’s official color forecast. All four patterns house an ultra-hydrating formula with a soft vanilla flavor that provides beautiful shine. Plus a bonus dose of SPF 15. The slim stick uses aloe, vitamin E and shea butter to nourish chapped lips and moisturize will still offering a fashionable polish. These would also be adorable for those of you with young daughters – a totally appropriate beauty item for the start of school.

Carmex Moisture Plus is available for $2.49 at Walmart, Walgreens or Dollar General.

FLOWER Body Mists

FLOWER Body Mists on Belle Belle Beauty

I certainly don’t shy away from drugstore beauty. In fact, trolling the aisles of CVS is a pure joy to me. But one of my favorite budget beauty buys is actually from Wal-Mart. Drew Barrymore’s FLOWER Beauty has consistently surprised me with quality.

Her latest foray is in to the bath and body department with four unique Body Mists. I have been reaching for these during pool days or post workout. The four scents are inspired by her fragrances (which I also love). The four options:

Cherished – Comforting and nuzzly floral, captured in a hug of skin musks and powdery notes that surrounds you like a soft cashmere blanket.

  • TOP NOTES:  Morning Dew Accord, Sparkling Cassis, Italian Lemon Blossom
  • MID NOTES:  Iris Petals, Cabbage Rose, Springtime Lily of the Valley
  • BASE NOTES:  Tahitian Vanilla, Clean Cotton Musk, Creamy Sandalwood

Radiant – Striking and confident sparkling floral blooming with dewy greens and freshness.

  • TOP NOTES: Dewy Greens, Sparkling Italian Bergamot, Watery Calone
  • MID NOTES: Cabbage Rose, Pink Peony, Magnolia
  • BASE NOTES: Crystalline Musks, Pink Amber, Blonde Woods

Sultry – Sensual oriental floral that wraps you in a seductive trail of creamy florals, alluring spices and sultry vanilla woods.

  • TOP NOTES: Purple Plum, Cranberry Cocktail, Pink Pepper
  • MID NOTES: Night Blooming Jasmine, Cashmeran, Juicy Blackberries
  • BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Madagascar Vanilla, Sultry Musks

Sparkling Garden – Infused with succulent fruits and an effervescent sparkle for a touch of “happy each day”

  • TOP NOTES:  Frosted Cranberry, Candied Citrus, Iced Pink Peppercorn, Sparkling Pink Champagne
  • MID NOTES:  Raspberry Nectar, Snow White Peony, Pear Blossom
  • BASE NOTES:  Precious Woods, Vanilla Bean, Golden Amber, Cozy Skin Musk

My favorite is the musky Cherish, but Sparkling Green truly is uplifting and I also enjoy the woody, fresh scent. Sold individually for $8.97, Available at Walmart and Walmart.com.
