Urban Decay Naked Vault Volume IV

Urban Decay Naked Vault Volume IV on Belle Belle Beauty

Just this last week, I was talking to a co-worker about the wonder of Naked palettes by Urban Decay. The original arrived on shelves years ago, but it still is a best-seller. And Urban Decay continues to introduce variations of it that sell like crazy. So if you have a serious makeup aficionado on your holiday, shopping list, allow me to suggest the Naked Vault Volume IV.

You couldn’t ask for a more comprehensive and wearable collection of eye shadows and lipsticks. The three neutral palettes (Naked, Naked2 and Naked3) has rich and velvety shadows and a pro-quality brush. Each palette has three coordinating Vice Lipsticks. These are seriously long wearing, packed with pigment.

Available at Nordstrom.

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow

Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow on Belle Belle BeautyI had quite the love affair with Perricone MD No Makeup Makeup when it first came out. But despite my loving it, it slowly fell out of my rotation. Until I was on a bit of a shopping spree at Ulta a couple weeks ago and happened to hit the Perricone MD section with gusto. More on some other finds to come but for now, I wanted to share Perricone MD No Eyeshadow Eyeshadow.

First, let it be known that I am always rushing around in the mornings. No matter what I do, that snooze buttons, an extra cuddle with the pups, or a must have smoothie always gets in the way. So anything that simplifies the makeup routine is gold to me. This eye-lid color treatment is a think fluid with a lightweight texture. The shade is very subtle but happens to add a natural and smooth look. Not only are my eyes more awake but also more youthful.

The universally flattering shade offers a soft focus finish that looks great on its own. I have also been adding a little gold on top on the weekends for a glow-y, mod look. The serum blends well with zero creasing. I’ve been shaking the cool matte bottle, applying just a small amount with the doe-foot applicator and blending with my fingers.

Available at Sephora and Ulta.

Ulta Beauty’s 21 Days of Beauty – IT COSMETICS Superhero Eye Transforming Anti-Aging Super Palette

IT COSMETICS Superhero Eye Transforming Anti-Aging Super Palette on Belle Belle Beauty

It is that time of year again! Ulta Beauty is in the middle of their Fall 21 Days of Beauty Campaign and it is the perfect time to stock up. I’ll be showcasing a couple favorites over the next week. There are some wonderful finds to take you into the fall season. If you aren’t familiar with Ulta’s festivities, this is how it works: Ulta Beauty offers a new deal on a different product or brand each day.

One of my favorites I have encountered is from a brand I adore for their formulas and anti-aging prowess. IT COSMETICS  Superhero Eye Transforming Anti-Aging Super Palette is one of those palettes that does it all. The shades are so flattering and include base shades that are an everyday staple, crease shades that are neutral while being stunning, and versatile liners.

The formula is where this really shines. Developed with plastic surgeons, it includes collagen, silk, peptides and antioxidants. So the shadow actually improves the look of skin. The “Superhero Eye Foundation” color corrects, neutralizes and smoothes lids. And I might add the silky texture makes it a dream to apply.

The twelves shades are so easy to use for my workday look. These tips from the brand are great for inspiration for new looks. Although I have to admit, I will use just the base shades more often than not, but I do love these ideas when I am feeling creative (and have some extra time when I am getting ready):

Superhero Classic:

  • Dust Superhero Eye Foundation Eyeshadow in Confidence onto lid and up to brow bone as base shade.
  • Sweep Superhero Neutrals in Unstoppable over entire lid.
  • Dip an IT Cosmetics eyeliner brush into your Superhero Liners in Daring and create a line along upper/lower lashline.
  • Buff Superhero Liners in Fearless into your crease using circular motions.

Superhero Smokey:

  • Dust Superhero Eye Foundation Eyeshadow in Magical onto lid and up to brow bone as base shade.
  • Sweep Superhero Neutrals in Superstar over entire lid.
  • Buff Superhero Liners in Daring into your crease using circular motions.
  • Dip a dampened eyeliner brush into your Superhero Liners in the Superhero shade and create a bold line along upper/lower lashline.

Available at Ulta Beauty.

NARSissist L’amour Toujours Eyeshadow Palette

Screen Shot 2015-12-30 at 7.46.34 PM

While I haven’t splurged on much new makeup this holiday season, looks like things might turn around for spring. Because I’ve been taking a sneak peek at the new NARS Spring and the seasonal shades are just perfect. First up is an epic palette full of shadows that are delectable. Just to tell you how much I love it, I have moved all other palettes out of my makeup drawer to make space for this all-in-one beauty.

I have been a long-time fan of NARS eyeshadows (the Kalahari duo is my all time favorite). This palette has equally must-have shades for a wide variety of looks. While technically these are a mix of matte and shimmer, I find them balanced making them wearable. My favorites – not surprisingly – are the larger sized neutrals.

Along the top row:

I – Cream Bisque
II – Shimmering Pink Sand
III – Amethyst Ash
IV – Black Truffle (great as a liner)

And the smaller pots:

V – Golden Starlight (made me realize how wearable gold shades are!)
VI – Sunburst Copper
VII – Café Au Lait (beautiful coffee shimmer neutral)
VIII – Pistol Grey
IX – Industrial Steel
X – Regal Blue
XI – Shimmering Taupe Cashmere (a slightly darker neutral crease)
XII – Shimmering Liquorice (an evening liner option)

NARSissist L’Amour Toujours L’Amour Eyeshadow Palette is available on NARSCosmetic.com and at NARS boutiques today and at specialty stores on February 1st, 2016. Also keep an eye out for the NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette  available exclusively at Sephora on February 1st, 2016 (review to come next month).

NARS Fall 2015 Color Collection and Velvet Shadow Sticks

NARS Velvet Shadow Sticks on Belle Belle Beauty

Yes, it is boiling hot but Fall Color Collections have already started hitting shelves. NARS’ fall collection appeared at NARSCosmetics.com and NARS boutiques on July 15th. While I haven’t had a chance to spot the entire line, I have been enjoying the new Velvet Shadow Sticks (so so good). In all, the collection has 14 pieces: 8 Velvet Shadow Sticks, 2 Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows, 2 Lip Glosses, 1 Lipstick and 1 Blush.

For this season’s inspiration,François Nars looked to the eyes. “It just seemed like the collection needed to revolve around eyes and especially how eye color and texture can convey not just character and mood but a period in time, be it an era or a decade or even a season.”

And of course their newest product is all about these windows to the soul. The Velvet Shadow Sticks are creamy and glide over skin without pulling. There is quite a range of shades, but I have been reaching for Goddess (and pink champagne) and Hollywoodland (pale gold). I use the stick for a layer of pigment on lids and then blend with my fingers. The shadow stays all day and makes for a minimal but luminous look.

You can also pair these with powder for a bolder look. I also use the darker shades like Flibuste Velvet (black above) with a liner brush. I haven’t gone dramatic with these sticks yet, but those looking for a more editorial look can layer these for more opaque color.

Find the collection now at NARSCosmetics.com and at Sephora, department, and specialty stores on 8/1.

Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette

Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette on Belle Belle Beauty

I haven’t be able to resist tinkering with my new Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette since it arrived earlier this week. It was just too good to delay on posting on second longer. This palette isn’t like others (they seem ubiquitous lately, right?). This one is refillable, so no more lonely, unattended shadows while other hit pan in a hot second. This palette holds a collection of single eyeshadows you get to curate yourself.

There are 40 shades to chose from – no shocker that I went with the nudes. But these primer-infused shades range from tame to sassy. The formula is seriously pigmented and a light hand gives me the wash of color I usually wear to work. What I love most is that the shadow lasts all day long. The powder-to-silk feel doesn’t wear off like other creamy powders I have tried.

The process is simple on Sephora – just add the palette to your basket and customize it. The discount is applied at checkout for a total of $40 – a steal considering the value is $85. I literally took all my other palettes out of my everyday makeup drawer and stored them in the beauty closet because I just know this is the one I will be reaching for on the regular.
