My Summer Makeup Look With NYC Cosmetics and a GIVEAWAY

My Summer Makeup Look With NYC Cosmetics and a GIVEAWAY on Belle Belle Beauty

Looking for a way to change up your summer makeup look? And even better… at super prices? Look no further than NYC Cosmetics at Wal-Mart. This brand is inspired by the city that never sleeps with great sophisticated shades that are affordable. Below, you’ll find my steps for how I am using NYC Cosmetics to change up my summer look.

Get Date Night Ready on Belle Belle BeautyWhile I can’t say dating in the forefront of my mind right now, I am loving this smokey eye – something new for me. And you know my new found love for a bold lip. Here is my how-to for Date Night (or an evening on the town with the girls):

My Summer Makeup Look With NYC Cosmetics Before on Belle Belle Beauty

  1. Starting with the Individual Eyes Custom Compact in Smokey Charcoals, I apply the included primer. I like using the lightest shade all over my lid and then the third shade in my creases for a natural looking eye. But as you can see in the video, if you want to amp up the effect, the four available shades allows for that.
  2. Using the Show Time Velvet Eyeliner in Noir, an intensely dark, pigmented eyeliner, I line my waterline. I then follow up with the High definition Liquid Eyeliner in Extra Black along the lash line.
  3. It wouldn’t be date night without bold lashes, so next I apply Big Bold Volume by the Lash Mascara in Extreme Black. My new favorite budget mascara for intense, full-bodied lashes.
  4. In the summer, bronzer is my jam. So I like to use the Color Wheel Mosaic Face Powder in All Over Bronze Glow. It is easy to sweep across cheeks, temples and jawline for a natural looking glow.
  5. Last but certainly not least, lips that can withstand a date – dinner and maybe a smooch or two. The Expert Last Lipstick, Traffic Jam lasts for hours on me and is the perfect summer red.

Get The Look: Jessica Biel’s Oscars Makeup

Get The Look: Jessica Biel's Oscars Makeup on Belle Belle Beauty

The last thing I want to do after these awards shows is inundate you with loads of “Get The Look” posts. But when I keep going to back to one look over and over again with the desire to inspire my own routine with the artist tips, I know it is too good not to share. So, now that the post-Oscar haze has passed, here is Jessica Biel’s beautiful look by Kayleen McAdams, ck one color global makeup artist.

Kayleen was inspired by a fresh and feminine look thanks to the “beautiful pastels in her dress, so I played with those tones.” She prepped her skin with Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream Intense Hydration and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, to give her makeup a good base to stick to.

Then, she used a damp Beauty Blender to apply ck one 3-in-1 face makeup with SPF 8 in fair 200, followed by ck one 3-in-1 concealer in light 1 underneath the eyes, around the nose, and along the edges of her mouth to even out her skin. To highlight, she used Charlotte Tilbury Sculpt and Highlight Powder on the tops of Jessica’s cheekbones, down her nose, and on her cupid’s bow. Skin was finished with ck one cream + powder blush duo in breath 100 right on the apples of her cheeks and set with the powder side of the product to give the look staying power throughout the night.

For Jessica’s eyes, Kayleen started by using a fluffy brush to apply ck one cream + powder bronzer duo in deeply bronzed 400 all over the lid. Then, she used ck one powder eyeshadow in expose and evolved on the inner corners of the eye and along the lash line at the outer corners. Eyes were completed with two coats of ck one volumizing mascara on the top lashes to pump up the lashes. The same mascara was applied to the bottom lashes with an eyelash comb to slightly darken them.

On the lips, she used Tarte Lip Surgence in Lucky to cover her whole lip with a matte pink and in the center of her lips to give dimension and add moisture to her look. Lastly, Kayleen gave Jessica’s lips a good coating of Kiehl’s Facial Fuel No-Shine Lip Balm to soak in while I did her eyes.

Amber Heard at the Golden Globes

Amber Heard at the Golden Globes on Belle Belle Beauty

For my final favorite from last night’s Golden Globes, I want to share Amber Heard’s Hourglass Makeup. But first, as I was planning this post, I realized I almost always share a look from Hourglass during awards season. There must be something about these luxe and neutral colors that make for the most flawless and glamorous looks. Amber is no exception. Paired with her midnight blue Atelier Versace dress and romantic up-do, the nude but sultry makeup was perfection. “Amber brought some of her own ideas to the mix,” says makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen. “She liked the idea of focusing on sultry chocolate eyes, creamy skin and soft nude lips. I was just bringing out the remarkable geometry and beauty of her face.”

Olivia Wilde at the Golden Globes

Olivia Wilde at the Golden Globes on Belle Belle Beauty

Olivia Wilde took home my award for favorite hair at last night’s Golden Globes. It also doesn’t hurt that her baby bump is pretty darn adorable. Lona Vigi created the look with Oscar Blandi goodies. She was inspired by the star’s natural beauty and wanted to juxtapose her sleek Gucci dress. The sideswept waves were not too “overdone” but rather “sexy” and “effortless”.

First, Lona prepped wet hair using Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil Serum on the ends for shine and Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray on the roots for body and “staying power”. Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Heat Protect Spray was used to protect locks.

A round brush was used to blow dry hair. After drying, Lona used Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray all over and then curled it using two different barrel sizes (¾ to 1½ inches). Repeat all over for more texture (I can’t wait to try this!).

To finish, she used Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Spray to add shine and absorb product residue. Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray provided hold for the night.

What do you think about Olivia’s hair? I think it is totally glam but also works for a causal evening out!

Drew Barrymore at The Golden Globes

Drew Barrymore at The Golden Globes on Belle Belle Beauty

Award season is upon us again! While I try to be sparing with my “Get The Look” posts, I do find sharing some of my favorites is great for makeup inspiration. I certainly couldn’t pass up Drew’s look from last night, not only because I thought she looked fresh and radiant. I have also had the chance to get to know her makeup artist, Debra Ferullo. Debra also collaborated with Drew in developing her Flower line of makeup. Here’s how to get her look:

Debra was inspired by Drew’s floral Monique Lhuillier gown and specifically accented with a bright red, lip. Overall the look was feminine and soft.
