Aspen on Belle Belle Beauty

This past weekend, I went to see some friends in beautiful Aspen. I took this Instagram (#nofilter) and it still is so pretty to me, it seems unreal. We hiked, biked, rafted, shopped, ate seafood towers and drank palomas. You can’t really beat that. But now it is back to the real world.

Speaking of the real world…. in my continuous search to streamline mornings while still being healthy, I just ordered some goodies from Moon Juice. My Aspen buddy swears by these nourishing, milky smoothies. I cannot wait for them to arrive and report back on how they taste and make me feel. (also available here) A couple other finds from around the web:

My birthday is coming up next week and turns out apparently I am a Gemini, not a Cancer.

Was tempted to pick up this whole look at James Perse this weekend.

I am an Almond-scent junkie and was thrilled discovering this soap.

A huge roundup of natural beauty brands.

The Southwest on Belle Belle Beauty

I thought I was going to manage a quick getaway this weekend, but turns out a sinus infection bit back. Yesterday I was officially miserable. Today I’m just kinda miserable. I almost snuck through the whole winter without a cold.

On the bright side, I have a luxurious long weekend with no plans other than Netflix, puppies and cleaning out the closet. Darn Marie Kondo has turned my weekends into purge sessions.

In the meantime, here are some finds from around the web:

Speaking of Netflix, foodies need to check out Chef’s Table – a fascinating docu-series featuring a different chef each episode.

Love this jacket for late winter/spring weather.

I’m the first to admit that I turn to Netflix to unwind. Loved reading about Hitha’s decompressing alternatives.

I just received my Sachajuan Scalp Shampoo – can’t wait to report results – I’ve heard it works wonders against problematic dryness and flakes.

This image is from Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia and has me seriously doing some wanderlust. When I moved to Oklahoma four years ago, I told myself I’d travel and never let my worldliness slip away. While I don’t have any plans to go to Australia right now, I have a short jaunt to California coming up. For me, travel keeps me beating, keeps me curious and keeps me striving. I know not everyone loves the road as much as me, but I do think travel is a true gift. So while I ponder my toiletries packing strategy, some finds from around the web:

Love Hitha’s 5-minute makeup routine!

I feel like I am ready to pull the trigger on round glasses.

One of my favorite winter looks I’ve seen this season.

Happy to say I have implemented three of these four habits – note to self: EAT MORE GREENS!

Stowaway Cosmetics

Stowaway Cosmetics on Belle Belle Beauty

While I’ve had my eye on Stowaway Cosmetics for a couple months, looks like I picked the perfect time to dive in. Absolutely love their sets for gifting. First, their daily essentials have chic, smaller and minimalist packaging. My favorite part is that you can actually finish the products before they go bad. No more crusty mascara and dried out BB cream. The sizes are perfect for travel, but also neat and tidy for the vanity.

You can purchase Stowaway individual products, but the easiest way to try (or gift) the brand are the kits.  For $75 you can customize a kit containing:

  • Radiant Complexion BB Cream
  • Creaseless Concealer
  • Cheek & Lip Rouge
  • Creme Lipstick
  • Effortless Eyeliner
  • Defined Lash Mascara

A little about the individual products:

Radiant Complexion BB Cream: This is truly a balm that has a balanced coverage – not too sheer but doesn’t cake on. I love the way my skin feels plump and moisturized.

Creaseless Concealer: I really get nice coverage with this concentrated concealer. It doesn’t crease in my under eye and covered redness around my nose very well.

(a note about these – I purchased a light and it was ideal on my winter skin town. So I would say the shades are slightly on the darker side as I usually wear a light-medium)

Cheek & Lip Rouge: This dual-tasking compact has a smooth formula and offers my desired sheer wash of color. You can also build it up for a stronger impact. The finish is matte. I absolutely adore the shade Burnt Rose with its slight bronzing effect.

Creme Lipstick: I’m not much of a lipstick wearer but this cream, long-wearing formula makes it fool-proof with just one swipe. And my lips stay hydrated. I also love applying just a wash of color with my finger.

Effortless Eyeliner: This tiny eyeliner is a true standout. The q-tip sized pen glides on and stays(I’m using the inky Black)

Defined Lash Mascara: Also a tiny tube, it manages to house a generous, fluffy brush. The fibers can build impactful lashes. And it holds up all day with no flaking.

For the holidays, along with the kits I am also loving the gift guide with sets ready for under the tree like “Your Sister”, “Secret Santa” and “Frequent Flyer”.

Wedding Festivities on Belle Belle Beauty

As I mentioned earlier this week, I am headed to a friend’s wedding this weekend. So apologies for the light postings. I am running around trying to get work/errands done for the week all before Friday! But really looking forward to getting out of town. Next week, we will be back to normal operating procedure.

For now, my shopping wish list from the past month:
